This moose does what?!?

Candy falls out of his backside when you lift his head.  The kids thought it was hilarious.  A friend of ours showed us this when we went to dinner the other night.

Chester! or Marley/Sawyer/Alton??

My in-laws adopted a 9 month old lab mix puppy for Christmas.  His name is Chester, but we are in the process of finding a new name for him.  Even his foster mom said Chester didn't fit him.  As soon as my in-laws got the dog, we all drove up to the Lake House for a week.  The kids are so excited to have a dog so close to us.  (as close as one will ever be!)  He is a good dog, and rarely barked..... but!  The hair & foot prints are enough to send me overboard!  So, that said, the kids and Adam are very excited to have Chester/whatever his name is, close by!

*** edit to post after it was written  ***

My In-Laws have decided to name the dog Sammy, and it looks like he will be living in Michigan instead of in Canton where we originally thought.

So, what do you do when it snows?

You play in it of course!!  We played in it and sledded down the side hill of our house.  We had some friends over and they all loved playing in the snow.

Tanner watched everyone playing from the window.

Snow!

Christmas day it snowed here in Georgia.  It was beautiful!

It even snowed up at the Lake House in South Carolina.  Our house was melted by the time we got up there, but this was just around the corner from our house.

Christmas Morning

The kids woke up at their normal time, and ran downstairs to see if Santa ate his cookies.  They came back upstairs so excited that Santa ate all his cookies, but a half of one, and he took their letters with him.  He left them a few presents on the table in the living room.  We waited for Grandma & Grandpa Freseman (Adams mom & step dad) to come over and then we got to business.

[the presents under the tree]

[he is very excited about his big boy bike!]

 [she loves them!]

[I bought some ribbon and had a friend make Jaedyn some new hair bows, she is so excited!]

[opening my present Jaedyn got for me, she is the sweetest!]

We hope you had a very Merry Christmas.  Even though they started putting Christmas stuff out in July, it still seems like the Christmas season flew by this year.  We spent a lot of time, teaching our kids the real meaning of Christmas.

Cookies for Santa

Christmas Eve we baked cookies for Santa.  The kids each wrote a letter or picture for Santa & we wrote a family letter to Santa.  The kids were very excited for Santa to come while they were sleeping.

Making Ornaments

Before Christmas we had some friends over and made some salt ornaments.  It was a first for me, both of us really.  I saw the recipe on a friends facebook status and decided it looked like fun.  The kids really loved painting them.  It entertained them for over an hour and wasn't too bad.  We put down newspaper and put aprons on the kids and let them have fun.  We got a lot of cute ornaments out of it.

Pancakes with Santa

At Jaedyn's elementary school Liberty, they had their first annual pancakes with Santa.  We went, ate pancakes and took a picture with Santa.

We had some friends over for a Christmas gift exchange.  The hit of the night was definitely these balls.  I just know something is going to get broken in the house with these darn things.  But, the look on Tanners face when he opened his ball, makes it almost worth the impending breakage.  Thanks guys!  Sorry our gifts sucked again this year.  We really aren't that good at gift giving.. :)
