Sleep over

Last weekend for Stake Conference we ended up sharing a babysitter for the adult session. The kids got to go to their buddies house. Apparently the girls kept coming out of their rooms so Meghan (babysitter) told them do not come out of that room again. So here they are, asleep at the door. Stake Conference was really good, Elder L. Tom Perry of the Twelve Apostles spoke along with Elder Gay of the Seventy. Both had great talks!!

When Tanner falls asleep in his carseat, he always puts his hands behind his head.  It is so darn cute!

Jaedyn Lately....

Jaedyn is in 1st grade and loving it.  She is mastering all the sight words and reading books to herself.  Her favorite subjects are Art & Music.  She is doing dance this year, in addition to Ballet & Tap, her class is a little longer and has Hip Hop.  She is in love with Hip Hop.  She is still the worlds sweetest girl, and so very helpful.  She told me today that she would clean the car & I could go take a nap.  So very thoughtful!

A girls day

Last weekend I took Jaedyn and we went and got our nails done.  Just the two of us.  I really enjoyed spending some one on one time with my little girl that is growing up so fast!  She had so much fun, and loved sitting in the big chair.  They asked her what colors she wanted her nails painted, and if she wanted any designs.  She was in heaven getting to make all her own choices.  She choose pink nails with a flower on her thumb.  Purple toe nails with a butterfly on her big toes.

Landon Lately....

Landon started Kindergarten this year.  He really likes going to "Elementary" School and his teacher Mrs. Manzella.  He is working hard to be good in class, and try's to come home on Blue or Green every day.  If he stays off yellow and red all week, he gets to pick a toy from the treasure chest.  That is a big deal.  He is getting much better at eating green things, he has even asked for broccoli on a few occasions.  He loves playing with his siblings, and has a sweet spot for little Tanner. 

He is just growing up so fast, and is such a delight to have around the house!  Spunk and all, haha.

My new favorite

We have some friends that share recipes with us, a few weeks ago they shared a keeper!  We call them Chimichangas.  It is a favorite, because it tastes so yummy, and is very easy.  You put everything in the crock pot, cook it, shred the meat (I prefer to use a Kitchen Aid to do the dirty work), roll the tortillas, spread cheese over top, broil for 5-10 minutes and you're done!

So delicious!

**If you're wondering what the meat is cooked in, I'll share!  2 cans of green enchilada sauce, 1 small can of chili's.   I've also made this with a small can of verde salsa, I don't think it really changed the flavor that much.

Updating

I really enjoy doing little projects around the house that make the house feel new again.  Last week I decided to change the color of my dining room.  It only cost me $25 for 1 can of paint, and then I decided to buy 2 little wall hangings to match one I had in another room that relocated into the dining room.  Hobby Lobby had them 1/2 off, so I got both for $15.  So for $40 I gave my dining room a whole new look!

Friends

Before school started our friend Kevin had his 30th Birthday.  They invited us to go out to eat with them.  We had so much fun, and had so much good food.  (enough for dinner the next night also)

My friends little boy turned ONE recently and she made him the cutest cake!  My kids were in love, and of course helped him blow out his candle!

A night out

Adam and I try and do date nights often, we think it is nice to have a conversation without kids!  It was my friend Blair's Birthday and the 3 of us went out to dinner and dessert with the hubbies.  It was a fun night of laughter.  It is nice to have a few friends, that even the husbands are friends!

Busy...

That sums up my life lately.  Between the kids, going to the gym, and volunteering at school, I don't have much time.  I feel like I am running out of things to blog about!

Another bedroom makeover

This time at my Mother-In-Laws house.  She has been in Michigan all Summer, but when she saw the blog post about my kids bedrooms, she asked me to do something fun for their room at her house.  So that is just what we did!

The walls were pretty much plain white!  So we started with a teal color from the bedspreads.

Then, used the green color and made two stripes.  

(I've only done horizontal stripes, vertical stripes just seem like SO much work!)

It took about two days and it was finished, the kids are so excited to sleep over.

And last, but not least, we made the two beds into bunk beds!  This gives them so much more room to play with their toys!

Tanners 2 year pictures

I'm a little late posting, well not really, because I just took them.  It's only been a few weeks since his actual birthday so we are fine!  He sure is becoming a cutie, he has been harder to take pictures of recently.  This time, he was a little better.  Somewhat because he knows what to do when I say "Say Cheese".   We love this guy.

He is doing all the normal 2 year old things.
