{Trick or Treat}

We always go trick or treating in our neighborhood with our friends.  The kids had fun and came home with way too much candy.  We are still putting a piece in their lunchbox for dessert!!

{Math Rodeo}

In 2nd grade, the Halloween celebration is a Math Rodeo.   Fun rodeo stations of math themed events.  Jaedyn had a blast!

{Pre-School Halloween Parade & Party}

Tanner had a fun day at Pre-School.  The paraded their costumes outside, and then had a party inside!

{Math Day - Landon}

1st Grade Math day is a Halloween celebration, using math!  The kids go around to different Fall/Halloween themed stations and use math skills to complete the stations.  Always a crazy but fun day!

{Trunk-or-Treat}

We went to our Churches annual Trunk-or-Treat.  They had a chili cook-off, face painting, carnival games, and trick or treating.

{Halloween Carnival}

Before Halloween a local grocery store had a carnival.  The kids dressed up and had lots of fun!

{Trick or Treating}

This year we had some friends over to go out Trick or Treating.  Unfortunately we have had some behavior issues with Landon with some steep consequences if he didn't behave.  We had to stick to our guns, and it was hard.  Landon was not able to go Trick or Treating.  (*gasp)  I think, some of you might think I am a mean mom.  But, how else will he learn?  ....  anyways ....  Back to the story.    Landon stayed home and handed out candy, and the rest of us went Trick or Treating.  This year, we found a lot more people who left bowls of candy on their porch with a note to take 1 or 2 pieces.  This was a good lesson for Jaedyn in being an honest person.   We Trick or Treated for about an hour and came home with TONS of candy.  The kids each shared a few pieces with Landon.

(on a side note - Landon does seem for the time being - to "get it".   Here is to hoping it sinks in!)

{Yahoo Farms and the Corn Maze}

Last weekend we went to Yahoo farms to do the corn maze.  We did it last year and decided we would make it a tradition to do a corn maze every year.  Next year we might do a different one.  They also have animals you can look at and pet.  The kids loved seeing the animals.  They also have tons of places to take pictures and lot of pumpkins laying around.  Last year we did the corn maze in the dark, this time we did it during the day.  The kids had a lot more fun, and I enjoyed myself a lot watching them have so much fun.  After we finished with the Corn Maze everyone got some apple cider.  It was yummy!
