Kindergarten Field Day

On Tuesday Jaedyn had her field day with her Kindergarten Class.  She had so much fun, and lot's of pictures to show for it.

 [Jaedyn and her partner Skylar]

[The first activity, you were supposed to carry this egg thing on your head, go around the cone and walk back, but it fell apart.  So they just carried it and kept it from falling to pieces]

[here they had to ride a tricycle and weave back and forth around hula-hoops placed on the ground]

[She was so excited, she 'roped' the golf balls around the pole]

[and bounce down to the cone, around it, and back]

[cast your fishing pole line and try and catch a fish in the green bucket]

[waiting for her turn at the sack race]

[racing as fast as she can]

[hit a golf ball and try and get it to the 'red' center ring]

[50 yard dash, of course she won this and was super excited!]

[Volleyball with a large beach ball, the kids had trouble not catching and running with the ball on this one]

[this one, they had to run down to the cone, put their head on the baseball bat, twirl around 10 times and run back as fast as they could.  Very funny to watch!]

[passing the wet sponge and try and fill up the bucket faster than the boys.  (yuck!)]

[water balloon toss......   this one ended quickly for all the kids]

[then they had to run with a cup of water, try not to spill the water and fill up the bucket]

[probably the best station, the rest and eat a Popsicle station!]

[tether ball - lots of injury's on this one!]

[bean bag toss, and the last station!]

We were glad that our field day was fron 8:30-10:30.  Other grades had theirs in the afternoon from 11:30-1:30.  By 10:00 it was already so hot outside.  The kids all had so much fun.  Can't believe kindergarten is almost over already!

Home Depot Workshop

We have been so darn busy, but finally we were able to go to a Workshop this month.  The kids were super excited since it was the day before Mother's Day and they got to make a Tulip Planter for Mom!

[These two are excited!]

[What do you mean I can't use a hammer yet?!?!!]

[on with the Workshop]

[proud of her finished product]

[love how he is double checking the directions, lol]

[Ta-Da! all finished, thanks to those directions!]

Tanner Lately....

Tanner is just the best little guy ever.  I love spending my days with him while the others are at school.  He talks non-stop, mostly babble, but a few words here and there.  He loves to climb, on ANYTHING!  Don't turn your back on him, he will be into something.  A lot of time it will be yogurt, and will be all over the floor.  I wouldn't trade him, or his cute messes for anything!

Landon Lately....

Landon has really changed a lot this past year.  He has grown so much academically.  He loves going to Pre-K, but is very ready for the summertime.  He can't wait to go swimming!

Jaedyn Lately....

The school year is winding down and the kids are very excited to see Summer arrive.  So we took the opportunity to take some pictures of Jaedyn.  She will be in first grade next year and is growing up right before my eyes!

A Makeover

Especially since we have built the Lakehouse and were able to pick out our kitchen cabinets, we have really wanted to update the ones in our house.  We did a lot of research and figured out just what we wanted.  We found someone locally who does really nice work, and we think it turned out great.

Here is a before and after picture:

Here are a few of our favorite details..

[the distressing on the finials on the island]

[the glass cabinets]

[the range hood]

*** We do have another "makeover" in the process, but it is only about 1/2 done.  Hopefully it will be done by the end of the year! ***

[no, we are NOT pregnant!]

A Morning Walk

The other day I watched a friends kids so they could go to a Church event & Adam went with them.  It was early in the morning so most of the kids were still in good moods.

[everyone smiling before we left]

[smiles along the way]

We learned a few lessons on the way....

[Teamwork]

[and got a little exercise in]

[and one last smile before we go inside]

Tanner's Dr.'s Appointment

Last week I took Tanner in for his 18 month check up.  (yah, hes 21 months now... a little late)  He did well.  The doctor says he is doing perfect, and is very cute.  (we knew that)

Height: 33 inches - 25-50th percentile
Weight: 27.7 pounds - 50-75th percentile

In the waiting room he played with my phone, and then was super cute for the doctor.

Tanner says:

Hi
Bye
Step
Uh oh
No no no
whats that
look
this

and all kinds of babble that makes sense to him!
