{Ward Trunk or Treat}

This weekend was our ward (church's) Trunk or Treat and Chili cook off.  By this time it was raining as it had threatened earlier for Math Day so it was held indoors, and not in the parking lot in the trunks.  Either way, we had fun.  I made chili to take, but didn't like my own.  We ate lots of other peoples yummy chilis.    The kids were able to trick or treat the classrooms of the Ward building and came home with lots of candy.  Just about as much as we handed out, they came home with!

{Math Day}

Last week at the Elementary School they had Math Day.  It always happens right around Halloween, and is fall themed.  It is always focused on math concepts.  I helped during both the 1st grade math day and the Kindergarten Math day.  Because their was a high probability of rain (which it didn't) they held it indoors.  First Grade had theirs first, and in the cafeteria.  Kindergarten had theirs afterwards and in the kindergarten classrooms.

Jaedyn had hers first.  They went around to different stations and did fun activities, like 100's puzzle chart, estimation, and other math concepts geared towards 1st grade.  They made paper bags that they carried with them to collect all their prizes into.

 [showing off the bracelet she made!]

Landon's activities were geared towards Kindergarten math concepts.  They were not as structured as the 1st graders and did not give out prizes and treats.  They were free to roam the classrooms and do whatever they wanted.  The kids had a lot of fun!

{Dance Class - Halloween Style}

One of our favorite weeks at Dance is when they all get to dress in their costumes.  They all look so cute!

{Halloween Fun is starting}

A local grocery store puts on a free event for the kids every year.  Since it is also the day we dress up to go to Dance Class, I figure, why not.  The kids loved going to each station and definitely they loved getting candy!

[Jaedyn is Rapunzel, Landon is the Incredible Hulk, and Tanner just woke up!]

{More Birthday Celebrations}

On the day of Adam's Birthday he had to work.  He met us at a restaurant and we ate dinner with his Mom & Step Dad.  After a yummy dinner we came back to our house and opened presents and ate some cake.  Adam asked for either Carrot Cake, or Vanilla.  So, I made him a Carrot Cake.  It definitely was not pretty, but it did taste good.  I replaced the oil with some unsweetened apple sauce, and made it healthier!

[see what I mean, not pretty - but yummy]

[Adam opening his presents, Tanner was thoroughly entertained with the balloon!]

[The kids each made him a handmade card, with an outline of their hands.  We love to do that, and save them.  When we look back we always are amazed how small their hands used to be!]

[Cheese!]

[time to sing]

[and blow out the candles, thank goodness I found some!]

{Adam is another year older!}

We have been celebrating Adams Birthday for a few days now.  On Saturday we had some friends over for some yummy apple/caramel bundt cake.   It was really yummy, too bad I forgot candles!

{Halloween Party}

My family was invited to a Halloween Birthday Party for one of Tanner's little friends.  (I know, Tanner has friends too!)  We all had to dress up, it was lot's of fun.  Tanner enjoyed himself, as did everyone else.  We played games, ate yummy food, and yummy desserts.
