Kindof like Cinderella...

Our Ward Building was recently re-modeled and this weekend there was an open house.  The Relief Society ladies got hard to work cleaning the floors of the cultural hall, which we not re-done during the remodel.  We scrubbed scuff marks off, and worked hard on our hands and knees.  In the end, it came out really great.  After all, we do use the cultural hall a lot, we have Basketball practice and play Volleyball in there every week.

Yes, even sweet Tanner helped, and helped, and helped some more!

Brotherly Love

These two are becoming such great buddies!  I just love to see them hanging out together.

I felt so bad...

So while we were doing this....

And Jennie was reading to the boys poor Tanner was looking for us...

Guess he thought we had left, and fell asleep at the door.

So nice, we had to go back...

So right after the retaining wall was put in, the kids had a week long break.  So we grabbed some friends and went back up without the Hubbies!  We had so much fun, and of course played in the water a little more.

 

The water still isn't deep enough that the dock completely floats, so the ladder is still hitting the bottom.  Which also means, no jumping off the dock yet.  Surprisingly, the water is chilly, but not freezing cold.

 

Landon really enjoyed himself as you can see.

 

The weather was so nice out, and even the part of the week that we spent at home as well.   It really was a very nice week out of school.  The kids got a long really well, and everyone had fun playing outside all day.  I am hoping this is what Summer will be like!



***Side note, I am not sure how I missed getting pictures of our friends outside.  The had fun too, it's just these two could play outside forever!

OH!, he has the butter

I should know better and be VERY afraid when things are quiet around here.  Tanner somehow got the butter out of the fridge and had himself a nice little snack!

Not happy when I found him, not that he was hiding all that well I must say!

The work is never done....

The water level is starting to come up, meaning the time for us to get our retaining wall in is slipping away.  Even though we really didn't want to spend the money right now to do it, we researched and found a place that had blocks for much less than we had found elsewhere.  I'm glad it is done and over with!

Of course we had to play in the water a little bit!  We had some friends go up with us, which gave the kids some friends to play with also.  It was still a little bit on the cold side even for being a nice sunny day.  That did not stop my kids from wanting to put their bathing suits on.  Obviously I need to bring up a bigger suit for Jaedyn!

We also had some river sand brought in to make a beach area.  I thought it was going to be white sand, but this river sand doesn't wash away like the other would have.  The kids are loving the sand also.  Can't wait for it to get warm and get the boat back in the water!

A little rant....

Sometimes I read other peoples blogs and have to remember, that most of us, blog about the hi-lights.  I love to catch up with friends through their blogs.  I know, that like myself, their blog is not a whole representation of their life.  I hope that when people read my blog, they realize that I am a real person.  Sometimes the things I blog about happened in a 30 minute window between a basketball game and going to the grocery store.  But is still blog worthy.

There, enough said!  I feel better already.

I got to go in and volunteer to help during a Jump-rope-a-thon at Jaedyns school.   Jaedyn loved jump roping!

A Daddy/Daughter moment

Jaedyn is really a very sweet girl.  She can be so cuddly and sweet.  I caught a glimpse of this the other day while they were watching TV together.

Making breakfast

A few days ago, Jaedyn wanted badly to help to make breakfast.  So we made some waffles.

"Dinosaur"

We found this little toy at Toys R Us the other day.  Tanner is sooo in love.   It is similar to the outdoor toy we have so now we have one inside also.  The kids also love to push Tanner around the house on it.
